US President Donald Trump has "blood on his hands," says a New York official, whose mother died after contracting the novel coronavirus.
"In New York City this is playing out in so many families and I got to tell you Donald Trump has blood on his hands and he has my moms blood on his hands," New York City Comptroller Scott Stringer told CNN Monday. "If you had said to me, what would ultimately have my mother fall, Id never thought itd be some virus and it is still hard to get around that."
He further censured the US governments poor response to the pandemic growing fast across the states.
"The government is supposed to protect our people and we are supposed to protect our parents and grandparents the way they protected us" he asserted, further asking, "How do you mourn at a time when you cant connect with people?"
The Trump administrations weak performance comes amid a shortage in essential medical supplies.
President Donald Trump said last week that he was using the Defense Production Act to compel the company 3M to increase production among other measures.
"The 3M saga ends very happily," he said. "Were very proud now to be dealing with 3M."
The administration is allegedly trying to stop masks from being exported to Canada and Latin America.
"We hit 3M hard today after seeing what they were doing with their Masks. P Act all the way," Trump tweeted last week. "Big surprise to many in government as to what they were doing - will have a big price to pay!"
Over 10,000 people have died of the novel coronaries in the United States, with authorities warning that the hardest days lie ahead.
